The Feldenkrais Method® is an educational system that allows the body to move and function more efficiently and comfortably. Its goal is to re-educate the nervous system and improve motor ability and finesse through movement. Tango-Kinetics, a novel approach to teaching and learning Tango informed primarily by the Feldenkrais Method and Contact Improvisation.  This approach emphasizes the process of embodying the Tango movement vocabulary and its underlying movement patterns.  Workshops explore the underlying structures of the Tango movement vocabulary, the implicit dynamics of leading and following; and the movement dexterity essential in expressing the richness and nuances of Tango music. Specific exercises which include falling, spirals, central and side axis, leaning/tilting axis, speed, and weight sharing.
