Tango-Kinetics, a novel approach to teaching and learning Tango informed
primarily by the Feldenkrais Method and Contact Improvisation. This approach emphasizes the process of embodying the
Tango movement vocabulary and its underlying movement patterns. Workshops explore the underlying structures of
the Tango movement vocabulary, the implicit dynamics of leading and following; and the movement dexterity essential
in expressing the richness and nuances of Tango music. Specific exercises which include falling, spirals, central and
side axis, leaning/tilting axis, speed, and weight sharing.
